What kind of a tarantula did you get and what size is it?

I believe it's a Brazilian Gaint white stripped something or other. Pet store was calling it a Columbian something, but it looks like this Brazilian Gaint one I found online.

It's probably about 6 inches.

BTW do you realize you live 20 minutes away from me?

Yeah...maybe a little more info than 'got her today' would be helpful.

Species and size are good.

How do you know it's a female?

Until then, the generic answer to your generic question is: When she's comfortable.

I think it's a Brazilian White Knee Tarantula. Pretty sure. The people at the pet store told me it was most likely a female.

Another person from Port Richy? Wow. I'm from Dunedin guys lol.

The pet shop guy probably doesn't know what he's talking about, just a heads up.

A. geniculata is the scientific name that goes with that common name.

They are terrestrial and don't really web all that much.

Ya, don't trust the pet stores to know what they're talking about. Most of the time they are teens or young adults that barely know their own name let alone a Ts true identity...lol Anyway pics would be awsome and help us help you. Like other members have said though if it's terrestrial it's not a big webber...sorry.
