When is it time for the youngs to kill for themselves?

Hi, I want to know when is it time to feed baby emps live food. I've been feeding it large headless crickets right now. They are black and about an inch long. If I can feed them live food, what kind should I feed them? Any help will be great... thanx

Well, as soon as they start to darken they are basically good to go. that being said, you are probably still talking about ripping the legs off pinheads ... so I'd probably stick with headless crix until they are large enough to handle the slightly larger, slower, crickets.
