I ordered a bunch of new enclosures for some of my tarantulas, including an XL acrylic enclosure for my adult female T. stirmi. She's a big girl, about 10.25in DLS, so she's definitely a showcase specimen. I'm planning on making the enclosure as realistic as possible, and including some live plants. My Poecilotheria slings are also growing like weeds so I went ahead and ordered their adult enclosures. It's going to be a another few months, but I'm excited to set them up! Setting up enclosures is one of my favorite things. What are your next big projects?

Good luck on the H. chilense breeding! We need more of them in the hobby.

I’m doing about the same as you @spideyspinneret78 redoing, upgrading, and making final enclosures for some!

I just started making a background and sides for a final enclosure for a Psalmopoeus cambridgei. Sprayed the foam on Friday but plan to finish the carving maybe tomorrow morning! Them silicone and peat/coco to cover the foam. Then to get some live plants in to cycle for a month or so. C4399AD8-86FB-42BD-8536-C4F5EAA43B19.jpeg CB082B0B-503B-4C52-8FF5-DB30E75C4180.jpeg

The "filing room" next to the office is to be cleared out to make room for shelves and enclosures.

Dusting and vacuuming.
I actually vaccumed my snake/spider room yesterday!

Any chance you could post a pic of that big girl?

The first photo is the most recent one, after her most recent molt. It's hard to get a decent photo because she's very skittish and hides in her burrow most of the time. I measured her molt and it was slightly over 10in, so I'd estimate her size to be about 10.25in.

My next project is to mass produce Poecilotheria's to the point that they're so saturated so that way everyone can afford them. I currently have some gravid females, which I plan to keep the entire sac to raise them up to mass produce them in the future.

I think that's an excellent goal. Especially now that they're dwindling in the wild due to habitat loss. Eventually when I have more experience I might try pairing a few of my females. I hope everything works out! Which species have you bred so far?

She's a beast!!!!!! Lol
She is! One of my favorites for sure. She's very, very skittish though. Kicks hairs like crazy. I'm excited to put her in a new, improved setup but catching her is going to be a pain. I'm going to suit up in long sleeves, goggles, N95 mask, everything. She's haired me in the past and it wasn't fun.

What all are you planning to do with the enclosure?
Right now she's in a 10 gallon aquarium which I've been wanting to upgrade for quite some time. She's going to bet put into a 17 gallon acrylic enclosure with improved ventilation, live plants, and deeper substrate. It was challenging to find an enclosure large enough for her that had the features I wanted.

I'm staged to appropriate the kitchen closet.
It's happening and my wife knows it but i have to play it cool. Slow and steady wins the race. She will be mine.

Oh nice!! Yeah its not always easy to find things that are exactly what we want them to be! One day ill have the room to be able to have a tank that size but right now I am limited! I would to see the tank you picked up.

What plants are you going to put in if you know yet?

I'm hoping to put out a pretty big plant list that I've been working on for vivarium and terrarium plants for a class I'm mostly done with writing to teach, I was thinking of posting the plant list here on AB once I am done.

I honestly have no idea yet! This is going to be my first time trying something like this, so I'm doing some research. A list would definitely be helpful for people like me interested in going this route. It's a little intimidating since I don't have much experience with plants but I'm excited to try something new.
