I found this crossing the street tonight while walkin the dog. In SW Florida.

Anybody know what this is?

LOL when my grandparents came back from the phillipines (Woo national pride!) They brought back a tub of fried mole crickets. it tasted like shredded crustacean bits! ( Of course, how would I know, i am allergic to crustaceans.)

It seemed to be a pretty tough invert, tryin' to wrangle itself loose when I had it pinned in a dry leaf. Don't think I'll eat it either. Read they'll eat larvae.

Thay would be a mole cricket! Im pretty sure that they dont bite. I used to play with those things all the time as a kid. They can usually be found at night. They will kill the heck out of your lawn.
