Just saw a TV show about T's and they said the largest and heaviest T in Africa is the King Baboon. The guy pulled one out of a burrow by fishing into the burrow with a stick.

From tarantulas.com:
"These animals should, however, be more accurately named the Queen Baboon, because the 8-inch or greater adults are all female. Males of this species are small in comparison, reaching no more than a 5-inch leg span. When provoked, King Baboons will rear-up on their pencil thick back legs and hiss loudly."

I would like to see that! ;P

No, all Poecilotheria spp. are from India and Sri Lanka.

C. crawshayi and many Hysterocrates spp. are large - reaching up to 7-9" legspan.

I think I saw the same show. Did they also show them pulling T's that looked like Haplopelma or Cyriopagpus sp. out of the ground in Thailand and barbecuing them?

Hysterocrates hercules is the largest known.
C. crawshayi, H. gigas are very comparable, though.

Well here you go hahaha

My female C. crawshayi (King Baboon) When i was rehousing her! She's an evil cow lol If i spray her tank to fill her water dish and the water hits her, its all legs and fangs and loud hissing noises! A brilliant spider though! :D

And to show how thick the females back legs r!

Mine digging her burrow! :D
