what is the biggest or heaviest of the african tarantulas??? the king baboon?
Just saw a TV show about T's and they said the largest and heaviest T in Africa is the King Baboon.
No, all Poecilotheria spp. are from India and Sri Lanka.Redslate Ornamentals (they african??...)
they are not heavy but very long.
p.rufilata and p.ornata..around 9" i heard.
I think I saw the same show. Males of this species are small in comparison, reaching no more than a 5-inch leg span. When provoked, King Baboons will rear-up on their pencil thick back legs and hiss loudly."
