Wow! That is very interesting. I've never seen one of those around here (Texas). But it does look like (sorry to use a common name) a species of Glow Worm (Phengodidae). There is a sp of Glow-worm around here but it has no pattern. But I'm just guessing that what you have found is a Glowworm, I don't know for sure:? .
