I’ve done a lot of research but since she will be alive for a long time thought I’d join a group like this any tips will help the more I know the better but what plants can I put in her enclosure I know nothing tall so she can’t get to the top but she really likes the live plant I put it there but it won’t survive so I would like to know what plants y’all put in y’all’s?

Hey! Welcome to the boards, this is a great place to learn and find information. As far as plants go, a lot of people have success with pothos, they're very hardy and would do well with the damp substrate that Aphonopelma seemani/Zebra Knees like. Speaking of substrate, I would recommend adding a few more inches into the enclosure. Tarantulas are very explorative, and eventually your spider will try to climb the sides. Adding more dirt lessens the fall risk and makes it safer for them to explore!

I hope this was helpful, let us know if you have any more questions!

welcome to the site really suggest you use the search function and learn the correct care of your a seeman (its a fossorial t) your set up is not really ideal (from what i see in the vid) it can die or injure itself badly from a fall with how lil sub is in its cage. enjoy and good luck

I’ve tried posting video and picture multiple times
Needs waaaay more substrate. It needs to be at least halfway full. You want no more than 1.5x diagonal leg span from substrate level to lid. This needs to be fixed ASAP to prevent injury and or even death.

@Gianna Nowalk there are multiple red flags in that setup for that species. Please take everyone’s advice or this will be a short lived hobby for you.

Is that a heat lamp? If so, that's a great way to cook your tarantula.
No it’s not it’s a led light I’ve done research I have a temperature gage and a humidity gage and ik what to keep it in I will add more substrate but I’m not harming her with anything including the led red light

Hello friend so simply temperature and humidity gauges are not actually useful for tarantula keeping. If your hole temperature is generally comfortable for you, it’s comfortable. And tarantula keeping doesn’t rely on humidity. Your tarantula is a moisture dependent species, not humidity dependent. It’s likes deep moist substrate. You simply do not need the humidity gauge. Relative Humidity increases with moisture but you don’t need to be measuring it and it may be dangerous to try to keep it at an arbitrary humidity %.
And @moricollins was just making sure it wasn’t a heat lamp giving off heat. LED lights are perfectly fine. No one is criticizing you by the way, only making sure the animal has the best care possible! Have a great day!

You’re welcome!! Don’t worry we all understand we were all new and learning at one point and still are in one way or another!

Your T thanks you for adding more substrate! It’s a bit safer now than it was before so that’s good! And it’ll be even better when you get more! :)
