I was reading som posts today and was wondering. What plants would work best in The enclosures. I'm planing on redoing some enclosures soon and was wondering which plants would work best.
There are many different plants to use, but you need to decide whether you want to add additional lighting before you start trying to make decisions. Pothos is the go-to-gal when planting an enclosure, because it doesn't need much in the way of light. If you are adding lights, then most plants can do well in an enclosure. We have pothos, wandering jew and a few unknown species of plants from Walmart/ Home Depot in our planted enclosures.
Then you move on to the question : Are you planting a humid enclosure, or a dry loving species? When you have a dry loving species, your choices are knocked down a bit. We have never grown pothos in a dry enclosure, but I have heard it can be done. We have snake plant and some succulents in our 2 dry enclosures.
