I'm never buying short-legged centipedes again. Every single one of them has been a pet hole, and almost impossible to socialize as a result.

Do S. laeta count as short-legged? Even if they never come out they are too pretty to pass up. Maybe I have the wrong idea of what Aussie pedes are common, but laeta are truly amazing.

I don't know much about laeta, and have never kept one. I certainly find the colours very attractive, but the species is also tiny. I feel as though morsitans is more suitable for me; it gets larger and can be just as colourful.

firstly, that it is misspelled (Staheliomyces is the correct spelling), and secondly, that Staheliomyces is a genus of fungus, and as such, is not really related to inverts.

That explains why your handle was so cryptic. LOL.
