G. porteri. Uhmmmm, probably my B. albiceps or B. auratum. Not very rare, I know, but it's hard to find either for sale here and when they are for sale they're quite pricey.

Not arachnid immediately but I straight away think of pigs, a nile croc, a Alligator snapper, a massive aquarium full of RBP's and a DWA license and room. So I'd be getting arachnids too.
Haha, before I read "mental arachnid bucket list" I initially thought you were listing up your rarest pets. What are RBP's and DWA's?

T. cyaneolum, apparently I'm one of only a few people in the UK who have one.

A. variegata seem to be somewhat rare-ish here as well.

Wow, that T. cyaneolum looks awesome. Like it ate a piece of glowing lava or something. How about a glow-in-the-dark tarantula? That would be something.

Is the variegata the one that used to be Sp. Amazonica Manaus? I had a sling but it died for no particular reason the way avics do. My geroldi is alive and kicking though, growing like a weed!

Edit: saw your photo title and answered my own question. Amazonica indeed.

I forgot to include my E. Sp. yellow (I have a few slings). They were very hard to find.

If they fluoresced under UV lights like scorps do then that'd be pretty cool.

Yeah, that's what I originally purchased her as, she's my most expensive tarantula.

Probably my adult female Avicularia aurantiaca. Slings are rare enough here, and a large female is pretty unheard of..

Like @miss moxie my B auratum pair is probably it for me. Not a rare species but good luck buying an adult for a reasonable price.

Depending on how you think about it, my juvie male GBB seems to be somewhat rare as they are all snatched up by breeders. I looked for a few months before I got this one. He’s got one or two molts left before he gets to meet the ladies.

Hands up if, when someone asks you what what you'd do if you won the lottery, you immediately pull out your mental arachnid bucket list. :)
My plan would be to install a permanent tarantula exhibit at the local zoo and maintain it for them (at least in some form or fashion). My home collection would of course get some cool additions as well.

B. auratum is my «rarest» in that it’s not as usual. Not proper «rare» though but I rarely come across them

Pamphobetus solaris is up there, but it doesn't touch Typhochlaena seladonia (the rarest T in the hobby), Psalmopoeus victori is also quite rare, I have this shot of my female, although it's time for a new photoshoot. View attachment 265412
Wow, I have never even heard of the victori. Looks so friggin’ cool with the red and black, like an emo versicolor.

- Stichoplastoris sp. 'San Isidro'. If you don't have it don't get it, it's a brown and black dwarf pet hole with an attitude rivaling the Grinch. If I'll ever sell one of my females this one is the first to go.
Hahaha, you’re really selling it.

Emo versicolor...love it. Haha. If the red were less subtle it could be a Hot Topic psalmo. (I dunno if that will make sense to those outside the US).

3.5 inch A. seemanni. I've owned it since late November, refused food/never ate but drank a lot and fought with it's water dish. It buried itself in it's hide in January "pre molt", haven't seen it since. So it's "rare" when i see it lol.

Difficult to assess rarity for me, but here are the ones that I have that I don't hear about here all that often:

Pachistopelma bromelicola (juvenile female)
Lasiodora itabunae (juvenile male)
Iridopelma zorodes (sling)
Grammostola actaeon (sling, juvenile, who knows it grows slower than molasses)
