I will start even though I don’t own one yet, Rufilata. I always wanted to see the green colors I heard they display.

I currently own Regalis, Metallica, and Ornata so Rufilata, Formosa, and Vittata should be next on my list of Pokie hoardings.

I initially fell in love with Metallica. So I have a sling now. But I believe it’s the regalis that has really intrigued me lately. It’s the black gray and yellow that I like.

I like Poecilotheria metallica.

If I am correct, it’s the smallest of them all, which means I can manage it to keep it in smaller set up than others. I like that. I also like it’s blue color.

I don’t own any. However, P Metallica was the first T I ever saw that wasn’t black or brown like everyone outside the community thinks are the only tarantulas around. It’s what motivated me to find out more about keeping T’s and I’d like to have one at some point. Don’t think it would be a good first OW though lol.

If it wasn’t for the venom, they make a great species. Yeah they are fast but they are easy to keep and normally give less issues than other species. I have psalmopoeus species that will threat pose while the pokie just goes and hides.

P. metallica is cool but also overrated at the same time. My all time favorite tarantula will always be the Poecilotheria ornata. It will forever stay as my number #1 all time favorite tarantula species. Although the Poecilotheria genus is not my favorite genus, the P. ornata will always be my number #1 species of what I love.

P. ornata and P. miranda are my favorites. I would totally get a P. ornata if I could....but I live in an area where it would be extremely difficult, if not impossible, to get one after the shipping ban went into effect.

Unless I'm wrong, I believe they could still be shipped across state lines but it must not involve any sort of transaction of money/profit motive. You could still trade and loan across state lines, but the transaction of buying and selling across state lines is illegal. So getting them isn't impossible, it's just more of a challenge.

That's true, but it would be pretty challenging. It would have to be a near-perfect scenario. At least there are still a lot of other species in the genus that I can still get without such a hassle.

Atm I like p.vittata. Mine has just been so chill and I like the pattern.

I do like how my “lowland” looks but it is my more skittish/hidey one.

My p.metallica, Blue was my second tarantula and probably one of my fave tarantulas. It caught my eyes first out of the pokies.

Yet another favorite Pokie thread. All good, I post questions without searching as well. My vote is for Regalis; size, color ( I prefer their color to ornata), feeding response, and they stay out in the open more IME. There is a reason Regalis is a hobby classic.

All absolute stunners. I own P. subfusca lowland P.tigrinawesseli and a P. ornata but my favourite looking is P. subfusca lowland. Just love the cream/ivory look.

It's just a shame my lass pretty much lives in her large hollow cork bark tube these days. My P. tigrinawesseli lass is out now and again but it's my P. ornata that's the star regarding being out and about.

P.subfusca lowland the best pic and it's from 2017!!!!! That's now much I see her out.........

It's P. regalis for me. First time I saw a picture of one (threat posing), I gathered every info I could on this species. Really beautiful and true to their name - majestic. I posted this pic about a million times already, but it's the best one I've got, haha. Love that girl!

You see a lot of favorite pokie threads? I see you do post without searching. ;) I searched too and there are only 2 within the past 10 years, search only gave up a total of 6 titled
(Favorite Pokie or Favorite Poecilotheria) plus people change their opinions from year to year. Always a great topic to see what the favorite flavor is this year. ;)

No one has mentioned Poecilotheria Hanumavilasumica, are they just on the rare side of Pokies?
