It's a Heterometrus Sp. if you can get clear shots of the carapace and chelae, it would be alot easier o identify.

what i use is coco peat or peat moss
do a little misting and provide a water dish;)

A think layer of substrate (any kind of substrate will do, but you might encounter mites), then add a cave or something that can be used as a retreat, a water dish and a few plant decor. :)

I used about 80% coco fiber and 20% sand. The sand will give some structure if your scorps want to burrow. You should mist and pour some warm water all around the cage as these scorps could dehydrate fast.

Warm water? I can see a water dish from the pic, i think pouring warm water is no longer needed, he's in singapore, almost near equator so he dont need to worry about the cold winter.

Well just because there is a water bowl doesn't mean you can't pour some water into the substrate. I think its better to have some damp substrate then just having a water dish.
