what is this on my scorpion's telson?

please help. is my scorp ok?

sorry about the pic, my camera isnt that good. it looks like there is a lot more of whatever it is on in person.

the scientific name for this phenominom is hard to spell, so i'll tell you the lamane term, "poop" :}

I freaked out as well when i first noticed the same thing on my scorp, their anus is just underneath the venom gland, and the feces is white

I just leave it, it goes away eventually then he poops again

The color of the telson in emperor scorpions varies widely as it does in many other species. I'm not sure why...possibly a regional color variation...

The catch is that if it is black it is probably a Heterometrus sp. instead. They are often mistakenly (or intentionaly) mislabeled.
