This is tangential, but wouldn't there be more males in WC trade because of their wandering tendency? Now, I don't know much about WC trade, but speaking from modest theraphosid and lycosid collecting experience, I would also think spotting something out of it's burrow can be tons easier than spotting the burrow itself. Additionally, sub-adult males would stay in scrapes and burrows as much as sub-adult females, from what I understand. Anyway, just a thought.

My buddy had them imported WC(legally) from Tanzania.
