What is a GOOD Lock for my Exo Terra?

The reviews for the locks Exo Terra carries are not good (they don't keep the door shut and allow the doors to be opened), so I was wondering if there is anything other than the Exo Terra lock available?

I don't want to have to use zip ties and I NEED to have a child-proof lock

You can get mini pad locks with keys. Amazon sells them as well as many other places. Most all of my enclosures have these on them. 93252B47-2C14-4BF4-97DA-C1B9898857A4.jpeg

Why are you locking it? To keep humans out our to keep the inhabitants in?

To keep little humans out (my room is off-limits, but for the what-if situation) and for my dad to have peace of mind in his own home since all my years of asking permission to own a T have finally paid off today 😁

Have you tried child safety lockout devices? Check Amazon for child safety locks for refrigerators, drawers and toilets. Depending on the age and abilities of the child you are trying to keep out, a child safety lock can be as simple as a piece of Velcro wrapped around the enclosure and fastened in the back where the child can't get to. But if the child is a little more industrious, you may be able to get away with something like these:
