James I'm with Gail and Ernie. H. gigas is very cool. Before I killed mine it had made the coolest burrow ever. You should give them a try.

I still think you should wait until you have more experience. Jumping into the hobby with docile t's is fine, but the personality of these spiders such as C.crawshayi and H.gigas are not good at all. They also get quite big. I think you should go for a A.seemani or B.vagans because they are nice and docile but will probabaly give you cool burrows. Just don't overestimate your experience/abilities, these spiders are a handful to say the least and love to rear up and bite.
