I have two types of nice water dishes for my juveniles and adults.

Terrestrials (and Psalmopoeus since they hang out near the ground) get these silicone treat molds that I bought at Michaels. They have soft edges, so if a tarantula climbs and falls onto the dish, it doesn't risk injury by landing on a hard, narrow edge.

My Avicularia get these Command soap dishes. The mount sticks to glass, and you can lift and remove the dish for cleaning. (You just need to block the drainage hole in the bottom.) I like these dishes, because they are elevated, which Avics seem to be more likely to find, and they allow drinking from multiple positions.

Are these pricey?cool uniqueness!! Soft mold? And soap holder?

Proper water bowls look better in a tank... lovely until cleaning time. Took me a year to go the disposable route. :(
Ts fill with dirt, poop in them, use as bolus cemeteries, add webbing to wick the water out, etc.. Don't really want to be T maid. Just.... yuck.
(depends on how much maintenance you want)
I only have two so taking out their water dishes and giving them a quick rinse isn't that much work for me. Keeping their crickets alive is more work.

I also use bottle caps. They work great for my T sling as well as the wild spiders I keep. If I'm worried about a particular spider drowning (because of size and whatnot) I just barely cover the bottom of the cap and it seems to work well. I haven't used it for extremely small spiderlings though as depending on the species and situation they can stick to the water.

Monopoly hotels
Various sized bottle caps
The caps from cans of deodorant/shaving foam (wash thoroughly before use though)
Plastic shot glasses
Coffee jar lids
Ramekins

I do sometimes use the reptile water dishes but only really for display enclosures.

If they drown -- they were witches!!!
Seriously, I don't worry about even sling drownings -- they tend to float across to edge and climb out fine. And most are fairly shallow anyway.
Unless you're using deep medical vials where there is no edge to climb on -- I would relax. Really.
But I do love to read about keepers making their environments as T safe as possible, so definitely no insult intended. These little slings really depend on us!!! :)

Yeah, when I only had 2 -- I did use lovely dishes.
But after a while, as more Ts are acquired -- I go simple disposable. Actually, if it's just dirt and webbing, I may even clean some condiment cups for re-use later. Or not. Depends on my time available. But by stacking souffle' condiment cups -- I can fly through watering my crew -- refill, or replace quickly as needed. By stacking condiment cups, I can just remove the top gross one and not lose any speed in my factory-line T refill routine. Either choice is up to keeper -- I don't really judge. A good T home is always respected and appreciated whichever route the keeper takes. :)

I use bottle caps for my slings with exception of my really tiny slings that can’t fit a bottle cap in their enclosure. Small deli cups for my bigger Ts.

Bottle caps, monopoly houses, coffee jar lids, lego bricks, plastic caps from my son's hgt injections. Lots of things can work if you plan on keeping a lot of young spiders I would suggest buying an icecube tray and you will always have a ready supply of water dishes at hand.

Square or rectangular legos in square sling enclosures.

Soda bottle caps, then Gatorade bottle caps, then peanut butter jar lids (Nutella lids for our European brethren)
