It’s not so much I was trying to rid enclosure of them, just bring the numbers of them down because the dish was swimming with them every day. I’m gutted about this leg, will change the substrate in a few weeks thanks for the reply’s.

Can anyone inform? Does L. parahybana do well with dry substrate or is moistening it up a bit every so often beneficial?

In my experience they prefer slightly moist sub and will hover over the water dish if it gets too dry

I’m gutted about this leg,

This just happens sometimes do not be heart broken, it will grow back!

with me drying it out over the last few weeks to bring the ‘ mite ‘ numbers down its not been humid enough for a successful molt

Molting is entirely based on internal hydration, humidity plays no role. Ur T was prob a little dehydrated still.
