Ever notice how nice they sit till you get out the camera? Then hide their heads, or just play dodge.

Buy hamsters instead?
Or maybe you can find some other substitute?

That's a great looking corn snake, Nixy. Great choice for the little kids. Is it a candy cane corn snake?

How about frozen mice/rats? They don't bite. :)

Funny story, the same thing happened to us! We went to the Reptile show in Colorado looking for new T's, and I talked Inuleki into letting me have a Black Ghost Corn snake!:p Funny how that happens...

ours is just a hatchling... maybe 9 or 10 inches... and our digicam, yeat again  has issues taking pictures of anything smaller than a very large pissed-off drunken scotsman...

The best thing about a mouse that likes to bite is that you don't feel bad when the snake takes it.

An eye for an eye and all that ;P

Thanks all. :)
The twins Love her. She took a pinky and they did a happy dance for her. LOL.

Bry, yes it was sold as a candy cane corn. I wanted so bad to get them two of them but I didn't have enough. But one day maybe we'll get Rainbow a boyfriend. :D

Off topic...

There has to be an inside story to that. What did you do to the Scottsman to piss him off Josh? ;P

ps. I wanna see the pic too. LOL!

well... there's not really an inside thing to it... i was watching samurai jack earlier, and it was one of the episodes with the scottsman... and i figured i'd used my zeppelin going up in a ball of flame analogy quite a few times, so i thought, what the heck, an angry drunken scottsman, what's bigger than that? (unless he's.. um.... vertically challenged let's say)

Fed well corns can mature easily in 2 years with 18 months not being unheard of. Size matters more than age with females doing better breeding wise at a minimum of 3 feet while males can be bred smaller than that.

We have her in a 20x20 inch round container. (Glorified large pretzel jar :D )
She has several poplar branches that have been stripped bleached rinsed, micowaved dry and forming a nice jungle gym for her. She has two hides. One ground based and one arborial. A three inch water bowl, two and a half inches deep with a slanted rock for lounging half and half if she wants to or full imersion if thats her desire.
She has several staralized flat stones for basking, several of these afixed together to form her ground level hide. A heating light focused on it, the water dish in the cooler side of the container.
Substrate I used staralized peat moss. She seems to like it.
She took a pinky that was Just about her girth and is basking now.
Anything else she needs?
