Let me know how it goes, maybe I can feed it some red runner esque roaches outside my house. I think they’re oriental roaches but they look very similar to turkistan roaches
I will , I had to follow you so I don’t forget haha . Centepedes are just as cool as spiders , I’ll prob keep all these see how big they get . If they don’t eat live prey I’ll set them free . I’m not killing roaches for an ambush predator .Let me know how it goes, maybe I can feed it some red runner esque roaches outside my house. Yeah I caught 4 of them but 2 need to be fed inside another cup because it’s too small lol .. I didn’t t have enough deli cups just a few .Haha, thanks. Hopefully those pedes eat🪳![]()
You think they can eat live mealworms I have some of those??!Haha, thanks. Hopefully those pedes eat🪳![]()
Scolopendra too coldCan't tell really, but it doesn't strike me as carolinensis, does it have a jet black ventral and black stripes under every knee joint? Those pedes are always hanging out with earwigs around here, maybe they like those. I start counting legs and toss these honestly, have never kept one. Haven't found Scolopendra here either yet, but I'm right on the edge of where they've been found.
Type of wolf or fishing spider I think , you got pics ?The whole body of the spider is a yellowish brown and the carapace has two dark stripes with a white one in the middle
Yeah, not carolinensis, unless it's way smaller than it looks, looks about 1.5" I'd say? Ventral would be all black by then. The whole body of the spider is a yellowish brown and the carapace has two dark stripes with a white one in the middle
I think that’s the most common wolf spider . Forgot it’s name though…No it’s way smaller1/2”. The pics are at the beginning of this post
Well, you've got a shot then lol, guess it just looked plump or something. I like raising up wolf spiderlings to see what they are, sometimes it's really hard to tell when they are small, some species I've collected have matured out male at a half inch.No it’s way smaller1/2”. Wolfs are fun to raise , but I never see them here so I can’t catch them . I don’t have any roaches small enough for those babies though ..Well, you've got a shot then lol, guess it just looked plump or something. They all look so similar just raise it to an adult and then you can’t miss it . I’ve never found a carolinenses in North Carolina or here .Wait a second, I have a wolf spider that looks similar to that one, maybe that’s the carolinenses. Here’s a pic, it’s around a 1/2” as well, I was in my pool and it was drowning so I scooped it up and made an enclosure
I'd keep it. Maybe H. incognita too, pretty spider. I definitely think it's Hogna.Wait a second, I have a wolf spider that looks similar to that one, maybe that’s the carolinenses.
