Weird Mark on Tarantula’s Abdomen

My Grammostola pulchra just molted and it now has this little red mark on its abdomen. The flash doesn’t help show this but it is quite red which is why I don’t think it’s just a common bald spot. It looks more so like what us humans would have as a scab.
Does anyone know what this could be or what could have caused this? The spider seems fine but it’s definitely alarming as it obviously shouldn’t be there. Sorry for not being able to get a clearer picture, my phone won’t focus any closer and the spood is still quite small. IMG_4205.jpeg IMG_4204.jpeg IMG_4198.jpeg

Tiny cyst maybe? Not large enough to be a big deal or a skin hair condition? So it wasn’t there pre molt ??
Abdomen looks like a Disco ball 🪩 in your last picture!! 🤣🤣

Shouldn't be a problem unless it's still there when it molts.

Nope, premolt there was zero sign of anything of that sort. Like I said, seeing it there just after the molt is what alarmed me. I’m really hoping it’s nothing to really worry about and that will correct itself with the next molt.

All seems fine for now and the little guy is doing his after molt stretches.

Im thinking this will be its last molt this year as I’ll be heading into the colder months soon where I live. Kinda sucks to have to wait and worry for long but nature will just have to do it’s thing I guess.

I feel the same way when my hamorii kicks off her setae as web protection and leaves herself with a bald spot.

It doesn’t appear to be anything ultra concerning and there’s nothing you can do for it besides wait but just keep eye on it. It also looks a bit like loose setae

Perhaps it’s just a skin condition or something … or loose urts setae. I would not worry about it much. I’m dealing with worse issues than that like t rug burn 🔥.

Thats what sucks is that I know I can’t do anything but wait. I just want it to not be anything serious but it being as red as it is, it’s concerning. But yeah, I will indeed be monitoring it but also letting it be at the same time as to not stress it.

I think as a pet owner, seeing anything out of the regular, no matter what it is, is a fair call for concern. I am happy though that besides that physical mark, nothing else about the spider seems unusual. Best of luck with your situation though.

My T. vagans had a similiar mark from 2 molts ago it was more on the side. After last molt vanished.

My best guess there was a slight issue with 2nd to last molt with my vagans. Wait for next molt to confirm if it's gone or still there.

If still there then there is a bigger issue.
