Nope, they are jet black just after molting, with a greyish soft exoskeleton. Is it just molted?
Maybe it needs to harden a bit more and it then turns blacker?
Click on the words "here's the link." On my phone it looks the same color as the rest of the post, but it worked when I clicked on it.I've got no link
Old thread, it can be helpful, but updates on the matter have been made, already. As we already talked about it.G. pulchra commonly wild-caught with negative consequences?
If hybridization of pulchra and quirogai never gave offspring in a laboratory situation, wouldn't this mean that the ones bred in the hobby are from the same species as they get offspring? And does that mean that we can infer that there's a big chance that they "hobby form" pulchra is actually...arachnoboards.com
You only have this picture? There are tons of Black tarantulas out there being sold as G. pulchra. My juvenile Grammostola pulchra molted yesterday. When I checked her today I saw that her hintlegs are in a weird orange tone and I couldn't find anything related.

She seems brighter than before, especially her carapax has white spots and on the sides of her abdomen, too. We got her black and now she's brownish. I hope she gets more black in her next molt![]()
