One of the most Unique and easily identifiable of the Avicularia family. Unlike other Avics available in the hobby, A. minatrix have beautiful red orange legs as adults with a striking reddish pink carapace. As adults A. minatrix retain the bright tiger rump patterns. One of the smaller Avics, minatrix reach an adult size of 3-4 inches.
My vote for favorite avic!
Rare in captivity, Tony is the only one I know of who has bred them successfully over the past couple of years. New breeding projects are now underway so hopefully more will reach the hobby by this summer.
