This is likely an absurd question - I’m aware. Please don’t slaughter me too much.

But I wanted to ask anyway just to confirm on if it is common sense or if I’m being overly paranoid.

I will be keeping my tarantulas in my large bedroom. Now I usually diffuse my hair with a hot dryer, and I often apply leave in conditioners and gel in my hair.

Will this affect my tarantulas in any way?

*I was worried about the vibrations of the dryer. Or perhaps the water evaporated? Then there are the products on my hair that is heated, is it released into the air? Though I’m not sure on how true that is.

Am I just overly worrying or is it just common sense that I really shouldn’t be doubting?

*On the same note, does using cleaning products on the carpet floor and vacuuming affect them?

The only way there could be any issues with anything related to a hair dryer is if it was blowing in the tanks and it was kicking up the urticating setae from their enclosures.

As long as you avoid applying aerosols directly next to them, you should be fine! My bathroom and my tarantula room are right across from one another, and I often blow dry my hair in the hall to get out of the humid bathroom.

Just don’t use the hair dryer right next to them. And no, hair gel will not harm your t’s
