Repeated exposure to urts makes it stronger each time. I almost never get haired because I use tongs and stuff to grab water dishes. And I give spiders oversized enclosures so they don’t kick hairs when I open the cage lid.
See, I was thinking of doing the oversized thing, until again I saw some YouTubers, always cramming their T's in really small enclosures. So I guess it's not bad to give them more room than they need then.

Here is a video by Tom Moran in which he uses gloves and long sleeves during a rehouse of his Thrixopelma ockerti. Around the 5 minute mark he talks a little bit about it too since they're another notorious hair kicking species
I'll check that out, thanks. I really like Tom Moran, he seems to be a respected keeper, unlike some others I've heard bad things about.

Hm like whom? I'm very fond of Dave's little beasties. Very soothing.

Tarantula Collective. He's everywhere on YouTube. Good lighting, good microphone, so I tended to mainly watch him. I like Dave, Tom, despite the production not being up there lol. I'm a bit snobby, as I YouTube myself for a living.

Tarantula Collective got me into the hobby in a way, but the production is very 'American' to me. Not always in the mood for it.

I think Dave is adorable and I like how gentle he handles the spiders. Bob Ross of spiders hehe.

Do you have a Tarantula channel too? Or don't you want to dox yourself?

No it's not Tarantulas lol, I've never had one before. Would be hard to have a successful channel without them. I have a few channels totally unrelated. Video games, politics, and wrestling. I know what you mean by the American like production lol.
