Hey,

My Rosie has been doing fine as far as I'm concerned. Eaten well, and been reactive.

However, I was horrified to find it on its back today, legs flayed out. It didn't look like it went this way slowly-only the night before it was ok.

It is still moving a little, but I think there's nothing I can do. What I'd really like to know is- is that position (being on it's back, but not with its legs huddled together, just open like it would be if it fell on its back and was struggling) a sign that it died through improper looking-after, or could it have fallen from the glass? My cage isn't that high, but it could be a possibility.

Help would be MUCH appreciated, since I want to get another one soon.

Sh*t! If it's been molting...wha a fool I've been!:(

I touched it, and it moved a little, but it's legs seemed like they couldn't work properly. Could it be a molt? And have I killed it myself?

Yes, it's moulting, and, no, you probably didn't kill it. Just don't disturb it anymore and let nature do it's thang.

And for future reference: When they're dying, their legs usually curl up UNDER them, they don't go belly up.
