Just stick with Pholcids. Very long legs and cobweb based. As for poisonous, meaning venomous - pholcids?? Seriously? Rate pholcids below rock bottom on the hazard scale. You are in much greater danger of being trampled by a stray albino elephant in your closet at midnight during a full moon.In my language most spiders have names....
But try to name each spider in my cellar
Pholcid prey capture - for one, can be extremely aggravating to watch. Flying prey usually escapes. No sticky webbing. (Don't expect the pholcid webs all over the house to reduce a mosquito population). They utilize their long legs to wrap the prey in silk and once subdued a little they take little nips, often dozens of nips, as they continue to wrap the prey. Between the wrapping and the effect of the obviously mild venom and the minute amount of it being delivered the prey eventually gets subdued.
Thanks to Rod Crawford for pointing out the nipping. It's lightning fast and can be very hard to notice. You have to watch very closely.
