Not bad.. I have always wanted some C. gracilis.. Never got around to getting any though..

Did you get these from your LP slings?

I want to breed my girl but I dont have a MM.. I am now thinking it might be a while before my male matures.. I should get to looking for a MM.. :D
Yea Mostly LP slings since I had about 60 0f them and a few N.chromatus slings because I had a small number of them.

I got such a good deal on the scorps that I felt bad. I asked the guy if he was sure that he didnt want more slings because I felt like I was short changing him, but he was happy with it.

C. gracilis are interesting. I had one for a while, not prettiest, kind of drab, but interesting just the same.

I just did the same thing :D Getting some T's & saw he had some scorpions that were super cheap & are like 2-3" as adults. Figured getting a couple wouldn't hurt.
Yea Im going to start keeping some scorps. Just a few species. I like the scorps that stay at a small size and arent medically significant. Although I have seen some websites say that C.vittatus are medically significant, but they cant kill you, so Im happy with that.

The only bad part about getting all of these new Ts and scorps is, Im running out of room. I have some Ts in 10 gallons that are too big for them, so Im going to get some five gallons and that will save me some space for more.

C. vittatus are almost completely harmless.. My 4 year old neice got stung by one.. She hurt a little bit.. But no treatment was offered & she had no serious reaction to it..

Im not saying this statment holds to everyone being that I am unsure of other allergies..

I thought I read a long time ago, that scorpions can inject 2 different compounds and that it can choose what it injects.

1. Venom - the dangerous part
2. some type of solution that is what causes pain

Again, this is a bad memory of something that I read a very long time ago, but if its true, even a lethal scorpion could just inject some pain and not some death?

I've had a few scorpions for a few days that I got out of a trade but then traded them for some different tarantulas later. I really have no experience with scorpions.

Hehe, the paper towels were a bit dry so I gave them each a drop or two of water while I ready their dirt.. a lot of them were climbing all over the walls before but went straight down to drink once the water was there.

Me too. One of the packages didnt make it to one of the people today so Im going to type in the tracking number and see whats up.

I still feel like an idiot for not misting the paper towels more. Lesson learned. Next time will be better.
