Typhochlaena costae

Does anyone know about the Typhochlaena costae T that was recently re-discovered? Is anyone captive breeding this Genus? Very pretty aborials. :alien:

maybe in Brazil... that t is not, and probably wont be in available in the US hobby for quite some time.

So I am guessing that means that it was JUST re-discovered, instead of the news being several months old. Darn!

It was "reclassified" to be correct - unless I'm mistaken. Like Steven pointed out, Brazil prohibits export of its tarantulas, hence don't count on seing either of those in the hobby. I'd LOVE to venture there and check on those in their natural habitat much more, than having them in the hobby...they are endangered already and due to the attention they got with the paper sadly stating the sites where they were found it's probably only a matter of time before certain individuals endanger them even further by trying to collect them for the hobby... :(
