Its ok, its 8inch by 8inch?

If its a male, it doesnt need more.

a female could have a bit more in time. But this is bare minimum needs.

it has a hide, room to stretch, and accessible water bowl.

its a pet rock type of tarantula. It doesnt need miles of space.

Fully back up coconut against enclosure wall, angle it in the sub: back lower then front, and add sub on top of it. You just added more space. Its that easy.

at its current size, it could be in there for years anyways. Its a perfect home.

theres absolutely no worries there.

for the record, i did read new posts after mine. I still think this is a good enclosure side.

the more people will say it is too small, the more i will agree its perfect.

Definitely a lot smaller than I would go. It'll survive but lil bro has nowhere to move around and burrow (which are probably my favorite things to watch them do lol).

I wouldn't say it's too small, but it's about 2 times his diagonal legspan, and I like mine to have a bit more room at this stage. Mine is around 2 inches (which seems maybe about the same size as yours?), and he's living in an 8x8x8 cube, which is a tad on the big side for him, but he's dug himself a full burrow and makes his rounds in the enclosure each day even if he seems like he's mostly a rock. He's grown up enough that the modest amount of extra space doesn't get in the way of him finding food or anything.

It's up to you. He's not going to suffer in there or anything and has everything he requires, but it's smaller than I'd use for a tarantula his size.

I would say too small as well - for a sling or small juvenile, the enclosure:spider rational would be good but for his size I'd give him his big boy/girl digs now.

Too small to me as well. Not a lot of room to move about. My food driven, out in the open T’s don’t have a problem finding their food and I give them plenty of space and decor, which they utilize.

A Sistema container would be perfect 👌

Love Pulchra's but the premolt period is excruciating. Feed that thing sparingly or you're not going to see it for a year

Yeah it's about that roughly, yeah he is a male. Just wondering why you agree it's better if more people say it's too small lol

I do have another one for him that is bigger and he did do his rounds etc. But I was worried he didn't feel secure enough- it was one of the tarantula room typ enclosures ( I believe their small one) so I can move him back no issues. After I apologise to him for uprooted him in the first place

Yeah I was concerned about how little roaming space he's got, not that he does but id like to give him the option y'know. I probably will end up getting a size up I reckon

More people saying one thing means nothing.

He is male eh?

So at one point he will mature, and make a sperm web…

He is going to crawl and climb not stop becauese he wants to mate.

That takes a lot of energy.

If he gets to make his sperm web in a small enclosure, its less energy spent searching for a female.

Put him in a big enclosure, and he will roam.

Its all about lifespan.

I did my research. Thats how i would house a male.

I find it ironic how the human thinks a tarantula needs more space.

Many terrestrials have evolved by not moving. They spend little to zero emergy just being there.

Once your male matures, it will crawl everywhere. Spend a lot of energy.

It doesnt need to walk miles in a cage.

But the more space you give it, the more it wanders.
