Hi all,

So i do not follow all the scientific name changes etc.

So this is probably a very stupid question but here goes. I have always known it as C. Lividum but more and more i am seeing the T being called C. Lividus and as far as i can tell we are talking about the same thing?

Yes, it's the same thing.

From what I understand it was previously Haplopelma lividum, but was changed to the Cyriopagopus genera, and the Latin is gendered where Haplopelma is masculine where Cyriopagopus is feminine, so lividum becomes lividus to match.

The correct name is Cyriopagopus lividus.

Great explanation, totally makes sense now. Thank you
