Just here to comment that phormictopus is definitely my favorite genus and it makes me so sad to think I only have the one P. auratus.

I've recently acquired 8 Phormictopus sp green femur gold carapace slings...WOWzers!!! The slings arrived a beautiful bluish color, but they are growing...much faster than I had anticipated and as they are growing the bluish tint is fading and becoming darker.



But from these cute little slings, just look at the beauty of the adults. Such a stunning Genus.







In reading this thread there is some comparison to Pamphobetus species...in Phormictopus both sexes sport the incredible colors, not just the males. I'm looking for more species, I've been bitten BAD.
