Keep it’s substrate moist, slings are easily dehydrated. Best sling food is a cut up piece of mealworm. Slings readily eat pre-killed prey.

For a small sling it's best to house it in a 2 oz deli cup. The sling will adopt the cup as its burrow and it'll be easier for you check on it, it'll eat better and subsequently grow faster. Just makes life a little easier.

The others have basically covered but I’ll reiterate- small deli cup/vial, moist sub, pre killed just about anything until they’re large enough to take whatever prey item you have access to. Lasiodora are food dumpsters, so you should have no problem in that regard. Feel free to add a water dish as soon as the enclosure has room as well.

Started with the same size, after 3 months they are now at 1" DLS. They are good eaters so there should not be much problem raising them.

Mine is growing at a fast rate, but it still seems too slow...

Mine is a little piggy.

Maybe it's just me, but this is honestly a species I wouldn't be opposed to putting in a larger container than the standard 2 oz. It might be better off for such a small sling (I got mine at roughly 2 cm, so mine was a bit larger), but I wouldn't expect it to be in there for more than a couple months. They're seriously fast growers, so it'll outgrow it's enclosures fast. Mine never seemed bothered by being in a larger enclosure. I've had mine for about a year and a half, and she's already 10 cm. They'll take on most things that aren't too big, but for that size, prekilled fedders might be best. Once it puts on size, it will probably readily accept small crickets or mealworms

She’s molted at least once since I took this pic, but this is my girl next to the first molt she had in my care (that tiny brown speck in the white cap)
