I recently caught a 3" centipede on the wall of my house, but I'm almost certain that it is a S. Polymorpha. I've seen a rather large S. Heros in my backyard before, but it was dead unfortunately. So they live in my area but I haven't had much luck finding them (except by chance).
My Polymorpha spends almost all of its time buried, so I'm assuming that's why they're difficult to find? Should I look for them at night after it rains or floods? Under piles of leaves? Do I have to dig for them? I'm curious as to where you usually see them in the wild, if you've caught them before. The Polymorpha is cool, but I really want to find one of the big ones.
