I found some tiny white worms while looking for mites. couldn't find any mites but the worms are present. I'm not sure what they are but my pede looks better then ever. I would like some opinions as to if I need to chage the strate for my pede or can it coexist with these things and still remain healthy? I have no pics and my lousy camera would not pic these things up anyway.

The pede is in a temporary container and the old strate is in a trashbag. I'm using a water/bleech solution on his cage right now to sterilize it. I will place him/her back later. Not fun chasing subspinipes around my bathtub. Ya know in the cage it looks about 8"...but in my tub I could swear it is seriously pushin 10".

my pede is back in its original home with new substrate. Any ideas what the worms are? nemotoads? Where did they come from?

if they move like cadipillars then my only guess is pinworms from some sort of vegitation. I hear about reptiles that get pinworms. Was this substrate fresh?

could also be fruit fly maggots... used to have a problem with them in my roach colonies if I forgot to change the veggies daily. Tiny little white wiggly guys, only where the substrate is really moist?

I'm no expert, its just a thought. Have you noticed a lot of fruit flies around lately?
