Tiger beetles can indeed fly just not very far at a time. Still if they make a run for it they can be hard to catch without anything but your hands.

can they fly fast cause i thought i caught one but it got out of the net and flew away also do they live under rocks

mmm, it depends on what species of tigerbeetle you're talking about, as far as i know Anthia species do not have any wings at all, so i don't think they can fly.

Just to lett you all know that i'm expecting my tigerbeetles (Anthia Sexguttata) in about 3 weeks,.... =D =D
