Reminds me of the movie "Kingdom of the Spiders" with William Shatner.

Why, why not here!? :-(

Man, though if that had been those vegetation-feeding jumping spiders or the peacock jumping spiders, I'd have been in heaven. Australia has some neat animals!

If the floods bring an abundance of midges, gnats or other flies, the numbers could possibly stay maintained. They had a population explosion of orb weavers in Texas not long ago after very heavy rains because of the drastic increase in insects.

Lol I'll be the odd one out, I'd pass. As much as I find them beautiful my native sp. are very defencive and give chase to any vibration. I couldn't imagine having that many australian sp. and just walking around lol.

Kingdom of the wolf spiders w/ captain kirk. No shortage of tarantulas in that movie, but they sure killed quite a few making the movie
