really cool

i tried to find a small hex beta tank for her but no avail, thgis little one is deff gunna moult. i have handled this little thing and they are so docile, i cant figure out the dark orange markings on the abdomen though it interesting. got a little bit chilly here in jersey so out came the sapce heater in my room didnt want anyone to catch a cold hehehehehe, all you fellow arachnoheads suggestions rocked i am going to invest some money in a tank for it when its gets bigger. how much longer should i wait to feed its been a day and a half? but if shes in brginning of a molt will she eat? :worship: {D :razz:

i also think its a a.metallica due to comparison to other metallicas same size, here hopeing lol

I don't think so, can you post a more clear photo?

Some of the photos you're comparing to may not be what's considered A. metallica either.

the onbly reason i say this

is maybe im wrong but its still real small so it probally wont get the blue effect also the toes are not pink they are white so i dunno either way im happy hehehehehe {D

With an A. avicularia of that size you can easily keep the substrate 100% dry, keep the water dish full, and promote maximum ventilation.
My exact thoughts, can't agree more. Good ventilation, full clean water dish/bowl and occasional mist if you feel like it. They don't *need* the high humidity to thrive.

With all the avics I'm keeping, only A. purpurea seem to dehydrate easier. Others are very tolerant even if I forget to water them for a long time.
