you guys have to realize, the old man gets tired and confused very easily, so he probably went about his unpacking...sat there for several hours admiring, ate a very small dinner in front of the enclosure, had a glass of scotch and by 10pm was having nightmares of 7 S. cal's chasing him about his never ending house with locked doors and short halls. that or hes so swollen and tense from being bit he cant manage to type a complete sentence. but id assume hes just passed out.
