Got a juvenile stirmi a few weeks ago. She's (confirmed female) about 3" and my main concern is her conditioning. I keep her in a 15l storage box (38cm x 28cm) and the humidity is constantly 90-91% (Is that too much?) I haven't sprayed her enclosure at all, but make sure her water dish is always full. The ventilation is my main worry. I have at least 30 holes in the lid and now wish I had put some at the side, since it's always condensated. She eats two red-runners a week and I'm worried that maybe it isn't enough? Anyway, if anyone can provide some feedback as to how they keep their young stirmis, it'll greatly be appreciated.
Humidity is important but ventilation is key, they will grow super fast so feed them more heavily then you would another species. I try to provide a moist side(side with water dish) for my T.stirmi along with a slightly dry side, that way you can give the spider the choice to go where it feels most comfortable.

If it hovers over the moist end it's probably too dry, and vice versa. They don't like it overly dry or moist, you want to be somewhere in between. They aren't as fragile or hard to keep as many believe, their moisture requirements are often exaggerated, as long as it has access to water it should do fine. I would be most worried about bad ventilation resulting in a stuffy cage.

unless the enclosure was moved from a warm place to a cooler one....as that will cause condensation...but this isnt the condensation that one needs to be concerned about. It shouldnt be forming otherwise.
Ehm... how do you know the type of condensation without even seeing my enclosure??

i was speaking of temperature related codensation in general.

Curious if your enclosures are being heated.

Well you said this isnt the condensation one needs to be concerned about and it seemed like you were referring to the heat differential situation i described
i was...but a differrent version you could say.....i have no condensation ever...but if i take them from the heated room, and move them somewhere cooler....instant condensation....this is what im referring to as "not a concern".

In your case i would personally increase ventilation.

to be fair...you described it...lmao.

Ok well let me tell you, it is condensation to be concerned about when it affects the entirety of the walls, again, this is a specific situation that results from a heat differential, why do you say it's not a concern? And thats exactly what ive had to do is increase cross vent from the bottom of the substrate to the top of the enclosure, its fine now.

What I am describing is not a concern because its due to being heated and only occurs when removed from the heat source (the heated room) and put elsewhere...which only occurs when re-housing or pairing and never ever under normal, just sitting there, conditions.

What you are describing is different, which is why I said I would increase ventilation in your situation...and if I read right, is what you did..
