I discovered with my H. coronatus that if she's being fussy and wanting to climb on the feeder (dubia nymphs currently) rather than have a taste of the guts (yum), I drop it from a very small height right in front of her, and she basically grabs it midair. I get her out when I do this just so I know there's not going to be a bit of roach I'm going to have to dig out...

Yeah, I figured that trick out last instar! Worked for a while but they got tired of it :(

They remind me of a plant my mother would always point out to me as a child - Lunaria annua, or Honesty Plant. Stunning

Female Idolomantis has pre-sub wing buds but is only L6? I heard females go to L9 and she is also rather small for a pre-sub.

Well, I’m in quite the predicament. Male Idolomantis molted to L7, they go to L8, females to L9. My only female is L6. I need to power feed her to have any chance with him.
