Do they seem pretty hardy? I'd like to see pics later when you think they are full grown.
Yeah these seem to do pretty well in captivity. The one on my hand is slightly over 1.5inches body length, 2inches if folded palps are included. these keep growing/molting till they die, like pedes, but growth after a certain stage should be neglible, seems to be the case for my oldest female diadema, didn't see much increase in size in the last molt. Can't remember where I read it or if someone told me that if I breed them early on they have less potential of reaching a larger size, have 4 right now, hopefully have 2.2, breed a pair earlier to get a small group going, hold back on breeding the other pair for a couple years to see what size they hit, I don't know, I like these things, most impressive amblys ive worked with, still working on getting the larger African and Asian stuff as well, you should try seeing if you can find any coronatus down there

If you can get your hands on Euphrynichus amanica...and figure out how to keep it alive well...you will be unto a living god.

I think I told you about somebody I know that was in the mountainous area along the tx/mx border and had to get this "thing" out of his cabin. He said it was huge and on the wall. I sent him a pic of a big vinegaroon and he said, "no that's not it and it was bigger than that." They would not likely climb a wall anyway but the description fit a little. He's not a bug guy but he knows what a tarantula looks like and he said it wasn't a tarantula, who knows, might have been a whip but if so, I think the range might only barely touch in the US if at all, could have been something else. That story will always bother me. How big is the container you keep them in? More than one to a container?

Yeah there is definitely a possibility... Check this out: http://bugguide.net/node/view/455740/bgimage
Not 100% proof, but it does seem to match.

I have them in pretty small containers, about 14inches tall, 10inches long and 4 inches wide, seperate of course, supposedly can live communally, will try it once I manage to get a small group going
