My spiders have arrived! All alive and accounted for :)
Oddly enough, the little Rose Grey came out swinging!

Hey MVP,

Congrats on the new arrivals. Couple of questions for you though....

Is the A. anax Wild caught? That abdomen looks huge. It's either possibly gravid or very well fed.

Does your B. vagans have reddish hairs on the abdomen? If I didn't know better, from the picture, I would say that it is a G. pulchra (Brazilian Black)

Yes, I noticed the huge abdomen too. Apparently John Hoke had this one for a while, so I am betting it is well-fed.

The b.vagans is a b.vagans. It's just a bad pic, the abdomen hair is brown :)

Any suggestions for a good place to find cork for hiding places?

I also thought that the B.Vagans had a pretty small abdomen, and was just hoping it was from lack of food. And that seems to be the case. I got crickets, and she took them out right away :)

A.Anax is avoiding the crickets. The little rose grey is at the top of the enclosure, and the little a.moderatum is raising up and showing her little fangs to the cricket! That really surprised me! I wonder if she will be aggressive.

Update: A.moderatum decided it was more fun to eat the cricket than to threaten it :)
