So, a few years back I returned back to Michigan from being in Arkansas for 5 years. I am happy to be home, but now that I have started into the hobby of tarantulas, I have realized that there was a species of tarantula native to Arkansas. The Arkansas Chocolate Tarantula. I cannot find the Latin name for it. I cannot find any details on this spider aside from the fact that it is a dwarf tarantula, and that it lives in Arkansas. I decided to start this thread out of pure curiosity. Does anybody here live in Arkansas? If so, have you seen this spider? Do you have one? Come to think of it, my family always talked about a tarantula that lived in our garage, but I never had interest in these majestic creatures until now. I would love to have one of these spiders some day, but there are no breeders who carry it, and I am still a teen so a trip to Arkansas to catch one is out of the question. Has anyone heard of these being kept in captivity?

The Aphonopelma Serratum is known as the Mexican Chocolate. That's the closest I got. lol I would have to say it's probably an Aphonopelma species though. Whatever it is.
