She will actually eat the male...Oh wow, I've never seen that before! Nature sure can be cruel! I have to ask, and I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but does she actually EAT him or just kill him. Do you leave him in there for her to eat or do you remove him? RIP little guy.
Not really its very very common with spiders and T's its kind of like a sacrifice for her to feed well. I watched something the other night about a spider that actually specializes in hunting and eating other spiders. Not all ornata are like that, I have had female and MM together for weeksd at a time...some I have had eaten instantly!!I guess this wasnt the best post to look at seeing this specimen will be my first breeding project. Oh this is ginna be exciting and interesting. Wish me luck guys.
