Hey everyone,

I have a question. Is anyone using a monitoring camera on their T's enclosure? I am toying with the thought of setting up a camera to monitor my G. rosea just to see what her behavior is at night or while I'm at work. I know she's more of a pet rock and there probably won't be much to see lol, but it's just a thought that crossed my mind.

Also, I think that she is about ready to molt soon (color has darkened, lack of interest in food. Last molt was recorded last December by the previous owner). So I wouldn't mind recording the molt in action.

I do want to be careful and not add something to the enclosure that could stress her out.

Is anyone using any form of camera/ monitoring device? and do you have any recommendations on what to use?

Thanks!

Hi there Jeeb. Im not 100% sure how the camera thing works but i know you can connect your camera to a phone with a bluetooth device similar to cat cams. Im not sure if this will help but good luck!

I was planning on installing a wireless camera when I'm gonna cohabit my S. calceatum soon :)
night vision, motion detection and using my pc to record. could be an interesting experiment :)

Those GoPro cameras seem pretty cool. Ive seen some cool vids from them and they're waterproof/shockproof i believe. I'm not into cameras at all so they might be a terrible suggestion for specifically what you're trying to do, check them out tho, its an idea :)

I was gonna keep them together for a few days to mate them. as I can't keep my eye on them the entire time I thought the camera would be a good solution to check if any matings have taken place if I were to suddenly find him munched.

I was actually thinking about attaching a GoPro to one of my webber's terrariums to see them make their webs. The H. sp. Colombia Large looks like an orchestra conductor when it's busy webbing; it would be great to see it web a nice section.
