I've stuck certain T's in the fridge for a few mins, slows them down enough to transfer them easily if they're *very* high strung and doesn't harm them. Haven't had to do that for a while, you get pretty good with a pencil/paintbrush/forceps and cup with enough practice.:biggrin:

As said many times if you lack the experience or nerve don't get said species if you are not ready..

I'd prefer to not kill my investments, a fridge is debatable. I prefer to to use Hobo's method... Tarantula Pouch.

You don't put them in the freezer compartment, you put them in the fridge to gradually cool them down. Put your T into the freezer and you'll get an immobile T, yes, but that would only be because it would be dead. Even putting it in the fridge can be risky, a bit too long and you could kill the spider. I've done it before but I quickly realised it was unnecessary, because even the most defensive of species can easily be dealt with, for me at least.

I do it this way too. No need to take risks, just use common sense when dealing with these T´s.

Agree on that. Still people buy them even if adviced not to. That is why i answered this way.
