Anyone have any good pics of adult versicolors that they want to share? I am probably going to take the pic and ask around tattoo shops if they think they can handle it lol
Amy , care for one word of advice?
If you get a tattoo you REALLY LIKE, you almost always wish you would have went bigger or incorporated more. For example, say you get a BA tattoo of a versi.. Cool.. as the novelty fades off, youll wish it was a PIECE.. not just a pic of a spider.

I would suggest getting a outline (not sure if thats what youd call it) of the versi done
Maybe a mom with sling nearby? Maybe with backdrop like flowers/branches.. Once finished up and colored THAT will SURELY get a lot of WOWS if done by a great artist.

It will likely take multiple sessions so if you start with the outline first, you have NO CHOICE but to go back occasionally and finish it. NOBODY wants or likes a half finished tat on their skin.
If you just get one thing done now, you MAY never get said piece all the way finished

Definitely+1 to this. Tattoos are as addictive as Ts and I can almost guarantee you will be getting more. Everybody I know who started with a small tattoo wished it was bigger almost immediately. Everybody and their brother has a tattoo nowadays so a small tattoo is pretty meh but a large well designed piece is much more attractive.

Thanks mike.. seems we share the same thoughts on tats lol.. i know my chest piece IMMEDIATELY had to go from a picture, to a piece, and here i am (some years later) still thinking of a way to incorporate it to a half sleeve down my left arm.. I work with home owners and such so i dont really want it going past the tricep area.
Anyways
Amy even if not a LARGE piece, i still think a PIECE (no matter the size) will definitely get better responses.. may cost a little more money (size wise/hours, and finding an artist you like) but why be frugal with a life long commitment?

I PROMISE youll get what you pay for, and nothing worth keeping comes fast or easy. < just lessons i learned in life.

I wanted to start small because I wanted to see if I can handle the pain for my next very large tattoo. lol But I will see what I can do with the spider tattoo to make it a piece instead of just a single thing. Thanks for the advice! =D I love tattoos but I don't think I will have more than 4. lol One of my tattoos is going to take up much of the bottom half of my leg that's why I need to get a starter tattoo to see if I can handle it! haha Don't worry I've been wanting a T tattoo so it wouldn't be a regret.

a SMALL tattoo feels the exact same as a LARGE lol.
If i can be 100% honest (and not be judged) i jumped like a little bi-- (WELL, you get the pic) when i got my 1st tattoo at 16. The artist was putting the stencil on my back and started the gun at the same time and i freaked.
It feels like a hot/burning/stinging sensation for a second, then it truthfully fades away. the area being tattooed feels like a sunburn sort of, and you get hypnotized by the bzzzzz of the gun.
The pain all depends on PLACEMENT.. My back hurt a bit (when it was directly on my spine) and my chest hurt right between my pecs on my sternum?

the outside arm (tricep area) /shoulder area doesnt hurt at all fyi.

Its really not that bad. I have 11 tattoos. The only one that was actually painful at all was the one across my chest near my throat. The rest on my arms, forearms, ankles, and foot, were nearly painless.
