Agreed with the rest, very nicely done.

I would have angled the dish under her directly as she doesn't breath through her "mouth" and therefor can drink if she chooses effortlessly. Sad thing that she died though. The store should pay youfor trying.

i actually bought my chilean from a pet store only because they were using the other said t tank for a gecko so they were about to put 2 in the same enclosure . well before any said stupid logic was applied or displayed i picked her up . the best was the associate who rang me up was the same that was getting ready to put her in the tank . all she kept saying was keep that god awful thing away from me i hate those things . granted you dont have to like nor enjoy them but working at a petstore shouldnt you at least have knowledge and acceptance ??

Among other things, that's just bad business
Not for the pet store! They didn't even have to look after it and someone still bought it! BONUS!
The problem with saving the poor pet store Ts is it shows the store that they are selling.. Thats why it is best for the greater T population to never 'rescue' a T no matter how much you want to. They'll just restock and treat more badly.

But who can resist 4/6/8 puppy dog eyes?...I know, rescues shouldn't be rescued but honestly, is it as easy as saying no? Of course not!!! Otherwise, we wouldn't be bringing them home! Besides, I think deep down in their primitive little t-brains, they're happy to be out of there. :D

I agree with Philk and act with Truff.:wall: It is so hard to leave a suffering T to die and I don't....I KNOW I couldn't do it. But I have been able to resist buying the Avic in my LPS who is in a small tank with nothing on which to climb. It hangs upside down on the glass. The owners not only don't do anything about it but when offered information didn't WANT it! Argh
:embarrassed: :embarrassed: I finally just quit going there altogether. What's a T lover to do?

The girl at the pet store where I get my T's (awesome girl who loves tarantulas by the way) told me that she went somewhere in Delaware that actually had a couple of T's in a tank together WITHOUT separation! They are just losing themselves money.

This has been seen with herps too. Refeeding syndrome. For severly starved herps(usually imports that have been ripped from the wild and held for months in some facility)...if they are fed too much it can kill them so frequent but tiny meals are a must.
